Basic Tools Mod Guide
Getting started modifying foam blasters is simple and affordable. I strongly suggested someones first mod be a spring based blaster. Nerf Elite Strongarm, Distruptor, Zombiestrike Hammershot & MEGA CycloneShock are all easy to mod with many how to videos and guides available. Additionally these can all be used as sidearms in all types of game play for players of any skill level.

There are 3 tools which are of absolute necessity when getting started modding. They can be found at most local hardware stores and we sell all of these on our site as well.
Phillips Screw Driver: Most blasters require a #0 or #1 phillips screw driver to disassemble.
Flush Cutters: Needed to cut and trim plastic inside blasters to make room for things like switch plates and lipo batteries.
Hobby Blade Knife: Also referred to as an “x-acto” this tool is needed for cleaning up 3d parts for an exact fit to you blaster.
ULTRA UPGRADE
Our upgrade kit for the Ultra 2, Ultra Dorado & Ultra Scream Machine converts these blasters to fire elite style darts.

Hammershot
The Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster is an easy blaster to mod that has achieved legendary status in game play. The ability to quick draw and be fired in one hand has led it to become the go to side arm in HvZ games around the globe. This mod increases its stock capacity from 5 darts to 7 and greatly increases power and range. If your new to modding foam blasters this is a great mod to start with, experienced modders will appreciate its simplicity and performance.

Stryfe
The Nerf Stryfe is a semi-auto flywheel blaster. It is the most popular flywheel blaster to mod. Think of it as the M16 of Nerf as there are near endless parts available. If you are new to modding flywheel blasters this is a great place to start.
